As a new mom, I realized how important it is to connect and build new friendships with other mommies, so I decided to form a group for moms of Paulus Hook and surrounding areas. This group is intended for moms of infants to preschool-aged children to get together bi-weekly for playdates, coffeedates, lunches, brunches, picnics in the park, walks in the neighboorhood, trips to NYC, and any other fun activities we think of along the way.

The Hudson County Families of Color Meetup Group was started to bring moms, dads, and children of color together to socialize with one another throughout Hudson County, New Jersey. Hudson County can be a very transient place and this meetup group seeks to serve as a social connection for families of color, whether they plan to settle here permanently or are calling Hudson County home only temporarily.

The reason for my starting this group-I am a stay at home mom with an 11 month old daughter and a 9 year old Chihuahua who is also like my baby.   I have found since my daughter was born last May, I have spent a little less time with my fur baby.
